we have been looking at myths and legends in English and acted out a famous myth involving a hero defeating a half-man, half-bull. Can you guess what the myth was?

Our theme for the Cafod Lent assembly this year was 'Turn big fish into little fish'. With your donations, we tried to see if we could fill a fish with coins!
We had a great time celebrating world book day! In our English lesson we did some acting out of some well-known stories. We were very lucky to meet the author David Waugh this morning! He read some of the books he's published and we did activities about them. We even got to listen to his new book that he is currently writing! Lots of us bought some of his books and he signed them for us too. We had a visitor come into school as part of our community theme in RE. They talked about the different jobs they do to help in church. These include; being a Eucharistic minister, cleaning the church, helping with the parish newsletter and running the children's liturgy group. We found out lots of useful information and didn't realise how many jobs there are in the church!
Continue to practise your 4 times table - use this song to help you learn the multiplication facts at home! Our new theme in RE for Year 4 is community.
Take some time to think about: What is a community? What different communities do you belong to? Is there anything you can do for the community to be a helper of Jesus? Could you walk somebody's dog? Could you help somebody who is housebound? Could you help your family community to do any jobs to help at home? |
